SOE F

Special Operations Executive Francaise

The SOE F was divided into many different groups, such as PHONO, or BRICKLAYER, or BUTLER, with each group having a different purpose. Each group consisted of a French and British members. Each group was interconnected in some way, whether it be that they would be working in the same area, or that members of one group had belonged to another earlier. These groups parachuted into Nazi controlled France in the cover of darkness, and assimilated into the local populations. From there they led missions to destroy weapons and other materiel, incite unrest, and form an effective organized resistance.

With the inter-dependability of each group being so great, the decisions became complicated. If a certain group was compromised, it could affect more members than just that group.
